How we Coach

Our coaching is grounded in evidence-based models from psychology. We aim to provide our clients with a high level coaching experience that maximizes results. Our background in psychology and applied neuropsychology enables us to incorporate strategies from a range of models. At the basis of all our coaching is a focus on building from your strengths.

At Mindxcite® we listen to your unique story and provide you with the tools, support and structure to:

  • Break through self-limiting beliefs
  • Find your authentic voice
  • Increase self-awareness and self-understanding
  • Achieve clarity around direction, values, vision and goals
  • Set goals that are true to your vision
  • Develop realistic action plans and keep focused on your goals
  • Keep you accountable for your intentions and get results
  • Achieve more than you have previously done working alone
  • Get past procrastination and into action
  • Get organised and start improving your energy flow
  • Get new perspectives that inform new directions
  • Create a life balance that is right for you
  • Close the gap between where you are now and where you aspire to be

Your coach will provide you with a confidential sounding board for your ideas and an objective voice to help you stay accountable to your intentions.

A reality check highlights your strengths and current gaps to achieving your vision. To bridge the gaps you will develop a personal action plan aimed at changing current behaviours that are limiting your personal and professional growth. You will then start learning new strategies and start developing new behaviours that support you moving closer to your ideal vision.

Change begins to occur when you intentionally and deliberately practise responding in new ways to familiar situations rather than continuing to react using old behaviour scripts that are not getting the desired results.

By consciously and mindfully adapting new ways of responding to situations you will begin to create opportunities for positive change.

A trusting relationship with your coach is key in the process of achieving purposeful change.

Coaching is preferentially conducted over the phone or via Skype. The advantage of this method is that it enables you to schedule a coaching session from your office or home, without having to factor in time for travel. When you are travelling for business you can still schedule coaching sessions.

Your coach:

  • Will expect your full commitment to the coaching process and to implementing your action plan to achieve your chosen goals.
  • Will provide you with a confidential sounding board to explore your ideas.
  • Will be an objective partner who has as their goal your success.
  • Will use a strength-based coaching model that unlocks any current internal blocks to you achieving your vision and goals.
  • Will partner with you to develop a personal action plan aimed at changing current behaviours that are limiting your personal and professional growth.
  • Will encourage you to explore new behaviours that support you in achieving your goals.
  • Will assist you to build and strengthen your personal and professional relationships. Building a network of supportive and trusting relationships will support change and encourage continued growth.

Where Do I Start With A Coach?

We start with a complementary 45-minute phone or Skype consultation to get to know each other and to establish what you want to achieve from coaching. During this meeting you will be encouraged to ask questions about the coaching process. It is important that you come to this meeting having given some consideration to what your 3 greatest challenges are at present.

Contact us today for your complementary consultation.

During a typical coaching session you will experience the following:

  • LISTEN – Your coach is trained and highly experienced in the art of active listening. Your coach will attend to all aspects of your communication and will formulate specific questions to challenge your thinking to create new perspectives.

  • LEARN – Your coach is fully present during the coaching session and aims to learn about your unique situation, to assist you to reach clarity about what you need to focus on to achieve your goals.

  • CLARIFY – Your coach will continue to check in with you to ensure that there is a shared understanding of what has been discussed during the coaching session.

  • ACTION PLAN - To consolidate your intentions you will need to develop an action plan. When you operationalise intentions you start the process of ProactivEngagement™. Integrating brain, mind and behaviour to start achieving forward motion with your goals.
  • ACCOUNTABILITY – Your coach will hold you accountable for your weekly intentions and actions. This is the power of coaching; creating the accountability that sets you on the path to change and ultimately success in closing the gap from where you are now to where you want to be.
